About this destination

Los Roques National Park is one of the most precious treasures of the Venezuelan Caribbean. Declared a national park in 1972, the archipelago is made up of some 350 islands, cays, and sandbanks spread across about 40 km of crystal-clear turquoise waters. Just 35 minutes by plane from Caracas, Los Roques offers a paradise experience: white sand beaches, virgin coral reefs, and exceptional marine biodiversity (over 280 species of fish, sea turtles, dolphins). It is a reference destination for ecotourism and water sports. Gran Roque is the only populated center: colorful guesthouses, fresh seafood restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. There are no chain hotels or motor vehicles, preserving its charm and tranquility. Cays such as Francisquí, Madrisquí, Crasquí, and Nordisquí are explored by boat; each has its own character and dream beaches.
